CLARENCE WILLIAMS III (Winston Hancock), a veteran film and television actor, can be seen in Johnny Depp’s directorial debut The Brave, Amos Poe’s Frogs For Snakes and Guisseppe Tornatore’s Legend of the Pianist on the Ocean in the leading role as the legendary pianist Jelly Roll Morton. Some of his most recent film credits include Bill Duke’s Hoodlum, John Frankenheimer’s Wallace opposite Gary Sinise and the upcoming Paramount feature The General’s Daughter, opposite John Travolta. Williams will soon begin shooting Miramax’s Reindeer Games with John Frankenheimer directing again, co-starring with Ben Affleck and Gary Sinise.

Williams began his acting career on stage where he was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in Slow Dance on the Killing Ground. His other theater credits include the New York Shakespeare Festival’s King John, Tom Stoppard’s Day and Night with Maggie Smith and The Great Outdoors with Geraldine Page.

But he is probably best known for his role in the most popular television series of the 1970’s, The Mod Squad.
