
The talented MARTIN LAWRENCE (Claude Banks) is currently shooting Blue Streak for director Les Mayfield at Columbia Pictures. He has directed, co-written, executive produced and starred in A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, starred opposite Will Smith in Bad Boys and with Tim Robbins in Nothing To Lose. Lawrence also won praise for his performance in the concert film You So Crazy. He topped Billboard’s R & B charts and won a Grammy nomination for his hilarious comedy album Talkin’ Sh*t.
He made his feature film debut in Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing, followed by performances in House Party and House Party II. He first appeared with Eddie Murphy in the 1992 comedy Boomerang which was also produced by Life producer Brian Grazer.
Lawrence’s television credits include the long-running Fox situation comedy Martin, which he starred in and executive produced. He also served as the first host of HBO’s latenight hit Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam.
